Lesson One : Head and Base Images

Welcome to the first lesson of Design class. in this classes I will try to learn you how you can design for yur own site everything you need and at the end all of you can make a skin for your site.
I like to start my lessons first about Web Design.
this lesson is about Head nad base Images by photoshop.
you can download the free-trial photoshop ps2 which I have posted its link in Graphic Resources and then start your job here with me.

ok do you have photoshop in your computer? if you dont have , I have posted the link of free-trial download in Graphic resources and tutorials , you can download it from that link.
we are going to talk about tech head and base images.

I also may be a bit more advanced than beginners now becuase during the time you were away a friend from school taught mw how to do some stuff. so yeah!!!

Ok i'm ready for the lesson!!!

Well now Im going to start my lesson here and you just need to do everything I tell you here and if you have any questions, just ask
now we like to make head and base images for a forum. we start with Photoshop PS or PS2.
first you need to create a new untitled with 700 px wide and 35 px hight. background als shoud be white.
now you need to create a new layer on your new ducument. and then choose the Elliptical Marque Tool from your phtoshop Toolbar and create a circle like mine on your ducument:

now you need to choose paint bucket from your phtoshop toolbar and fill into the cirlcle with black color like mine:




now you need to go to the menu bar and from there go to layer and choose duplicate layer, now you have two circles and you should move them and put them thislike:

okey, now create a new layer again and choose Regtangular Marque Tool from your phtoshop toolbar and create a regtangualr like mine and fill into black color by paint bucket.

now until here , you have created the basic of your head and base images, any questions?

dont worry dear, here you are, these are two screenshots to guide you :
if you like to create a new layer, use this:



and if you lie to use marque tool, Elliptical or Regrangualr marque tool, look at thisone

Well
now we continue our work.
now you need to add some decorations on your Head image. first create a new Layer and then press CTRL+R to see the ruler
now choose Polygon Lasso Tool from your photoshop toolbar ( next image) and start your job and draw a shape for example like mine.
Remember , first a right click on the ruler and choose percents.






now you need to choose paint bucket from your phtoshop toolbar and fill into with white color. like mine:



now press CTRL+D and deselect , and then go to menu bar , Layer and from there choose Duplicate layer. move the second layer like mine:




now we should add center decoration. until here any questions?

Attention!
because of our lesson longs some days, and you need to have your first iamge open layer to complete it, after earch lesson, which I post , you need to go to Menu, Files, and from there choose Save as and save your project as a Photoshop PSD file.
by this way it will be open layer and when you open it again to complete it, you will have all layers and everyting youve done before.

Ok, now choose your big Regtangular leyer, I think it will be Layer 2 for you and add it this effects, for ading effects you need to double click on Regtangualr Layer or Layer 2 , then an effect box will appear to you. add these effects Step by Step and then click ok.



colors here are black and white. Black= 000000 White = FFFFFF




Gradient colors here are :
Gry= 4A4A4A
light Gry = EDEDED

now click on okey.

All done and it looks pretty darn good from what I'm seeing..lol. Are we making a skin for proboards?? Is that it or is ther more??
